What Causes A Bruise Near Surgical Incision Of Hip Replacement Surgery?

I fell on my rt hip two weeks ago, after rt hip replacement surgery 6 months ago. no significant pain or bruising initially, but hard lump formed, and it has been sore to the touch, now an apple size bruise has appeared, next to the surgical incision. should i be worried about internal injury to the new hip, or infection, or blood clots. should I see my surgeon.
