What Causes A Cervical Neck Lymph Node With Swelling?

I am a 46 year old male. I have had a couple sore throats over the last 2 months treated with antibotics. around the same time i noticed ringing in my ear mostly right ear sometimes I cant tell. for about a month i have noticed a swollen posterior cervical lymph node in neck right side. its round about 1cm it is not hard as a rock but it is not very soft either. the skin near node moves but the node does not really move around when u push on it. i had a few blood tests and I have an elevated ANA. I pointed out the node to my primary and my ENT and they both say to just watch it and do nothing but I am very scared I have cancer. I do not have weight loss, i dont really feel sick at all i have an appetite. i also do feel a couple other lymph nodes upper leg and other side of neck.
