What Causes A Dark Dot On The Forehead?

I just noticed a dark dot on my forehead; it looks just like the spots I get on my hand and arm from bumping or hitting. I am 70 years old and this has been happening to me in the past few years. I don't remember bumping my head so this is a puzzle. I do not have high blood pressure.
