What Causes A Feeling Of Fullness In Both The Ears?

Hello. I was diagnosed with otitis media with effusion in my left ear, 3 weeks ago. After 10 days of amoxicillin, the infection symptoms (pain/pressure) resolved. However the effusion was still there (as I figured it would be). I know that this usually takes a good while to resolve.

Over the next two weeks, my hearing returned to 100%. However , now I have a "fullness in both ears". It's not the feeling of fluid this time (but more like something is pressing up against my inner Eustachian tube from my nasopharynx. It's hard to explain, but it doesn't really cause any hearing deficit. It just gives a negative vacuum feeling in my inner ear( behind my eardrum).

I have found that only 2 things resolve this. The valsalva maneuver instantly resolves this feeling. However, it always comes back within 5 minutes. Because of this, I find myself doing the valsalva maneuver 150 times a day to fight this fullness feeling.

Also, nasocort works wonders on this for about a full day. But, I don't like the idea of shooting steroids into my nose everyday either.

I have an appt. with an ENT in 2 weeks. However, my curiosity makes me wonder. Could this be something in my nasopharynx swelling and pressing against my eustation tube openings and stopping proper air exchange? Or is it more likely that my eustation tubes are swelling "just because"? Also , is there any danger from doing the valsalva maneuver too much?

Thanks
