What Causes A Grey Area On My Foot?

I just noticed this morning a greyish area (somewhat like a bruise) at the top of my 3 middle toes where it meets the foot. When I put my foot up the color lessens, when I walk it gets more pronounced. It does not hurt when I push on it and might be connected to my veins.
