What Causes A Hard Bump Under The Skin On Thigh?

Hi, I been having an issue with something under my skin on my inner right thigh that is the size of a quarter, Its hard, under the skin and it feels like its connected to a vain or something. I've had it for close to a year it comes and goes and I don't know what it is.
