What Causes A Hard Mass At The Area Of Hernia Repair?

i had a paraumbilical hernia repaired 4 weeks ago.5 cm of diameter and mesh used for the repair.No problems postop apart from feeling a hard mass in the area where the hernia was initially located. Shape is circumferencial, similar to the shape of the original hernia deffect.doesnt change shape or size
