What Causes A Large Lump Causing Itchiness And Burning Sensation On Labia?

I think i have a bartholin cyst on the outer labia. At first it was just a pea sized ball under the skin with no marks on top of it but then it became kind of itchy and irritating so the top formed more and became red. Two times, a small piece of skin peeled off of it and then I noticed a small white dot in the top of it. I had a long hot shower to open the cyst more and then the puss started coming out. I think i got most of it out without trying to irritate my skin as much a possible. I had a nights sleep and showered again but now it's still bleeding a bit with clear stuff secreting from it and what seems to be some sort of skin piece hanging from it.
