What Causes A Lump Along With Rectal Discharge Post Colectomy?

I had a Colectomy 6 months ago and I still have rectal discharge which I know is normal but I have a little lump on my rectum that hurts and I was wondering what that might be and how I could get rid of it. I have had this lump since before the surgery. It never went away
