What Causes A Lump In Front Of An Ear?

i have a lump in frount or my left ear its like the size of a pea my mom said its probaly a gland but im still worryed about it becuase i dont have one on the other side.... i can feel my pulse though it but i can fell my paulse on the right side to but it doseint have a lump there....
