What Causes A Lump Inside The Nostril?

Hi I have a lump inside the back of my left nostril and i cant help touching it and picking ti and its very sore when i press down hard it has a stinging sensation but when i leave it alone for a while it is fine but i want to know what it is and if it can be treated, i have had it for about 4 years now
