What Causes A Lump On The Face With Brown Discharge?

Hi, I have a lump on my face which I have had for quite some years already and it is slowly growing. When pressing really hard on it, although it moves around and is hard to press something out of it, some stinky skinny string comes out. It has no different colour then my other skin, but it is starting to bother me because people are asking me about the bump and it is becoming more noticeable. What is it being distinguished as and what can be done about it?
