What Causes A Lump On The Soft Palate Near The Uvula?

I have had a horrible cold about a month ago and now I m feeling better. I have still had a lot of mucus and my throat was hurting it s not anymore but when it was I felt a bump in the soft pallet right next to uvula. The small bump is still there but seems it has gone down quite a bit.
