What Causes A Muffled Sensation In The Right Ear?

My right hear feels muffled like it has cotton wool in it. Had it for a couple of days. Am normally quite vigilant with my earbud after a shower. Maybe too much. Feels annoying. Sometimes a large piece of wax can come out with an earbud after my shower. Help!
