What Causes A Painful Bump Below Coccyx?

On my birthday, randomly my tail bone area started hurting. The next morning I woke up and it had started swelling, and I realized that it was not my tail bone but just below it. Now there's a bump and every time I move it hurts, just laying down doing nothing also makes it burn. Is this serious and should I go to the hospital?
