What Causes A Painful Dark Spot On The Arm?

Please type your query here...this morning i woke up with a yellow dot it almost looked like a bruise on my arm but it has gotten darker and i cant tell weather its red or a purple but it been getting darker and it hurts just a little when i touch it..it doesnt itch what could this be?
