What Causes A Painful Lump Under The Elbow?

I have a small ball like bump just under my elbow that is causing me pain. I have had swelling and pain in my elbow for a week or 2 after a sports injury. What is causing the bump? It wasn t a serious injury, just caused some swelling. I was starting to feel better, then this came out of nowhere.
