What Causes A Pea Sized Bump On Inner Vaginal Lip?

I found a small, pea sized bump on my inner vaginal lip a few days ago. Yesterday, I started my period. I have never had this happen, so I'm not sure if it's associated w/ my period or something else I should be worried about. It is mostly gone today. Thanks.
