What Causes A Penis Glans Spot And How To Treat It?

I am a 36 year old straight male, and I am single. I have not had sex in approxmitely 7-8 months, but I have been masturbation very frequently sometimes as much as 3-4 times a day. Approximately 3 weeks ago I noticed a small red/purple spot on my penis and it has not gone away. It is about the size of a pencil eraser on the glans of my penis and is a little left of center on the glans. Since I do masturbate frequently, and I use a stronger then average grip I dont know if I may have bruised myself, or if it is a more serious problem. I am uncircumsized, but I do wash and take care of myself with more then average care. I am also unemployed and uninsured, please help!
