What Causes A Puncture In The Neck Post Minor Procedure?

I had a small procedure on my neck about 12 days ago, my doctor said it only needed a stitch. He put a dissolvable stitch in.. My stitch dissolved yesterday but now there is a small hole... I called my doctors and the nurse called back and said it is probably healing from the inside out... But it s a hole in my neck... Any advice would be greatly appreciated
