What Causes A Red Blotch On The Chest After Consuming Alcohol?

I've drank moderatly since I was 21. Now that I'm 26 I have all of a sudden started to develop a red blotchy-ness on my chest and face that appears right after my first sip of alcohol. Normally it goes away if I consume more but it just started a few months ago and is embarrassing. Can I take anything if I know I am going to consume alcohol to curb this red blotchiness?
