What Causes A Tingling Feeling On The Head Of Penis?

For the last two days, the head of my penis, mostly the top of it, has been tingling every so often. Maybe every 5-10 seconds or so for a period of many minutes and sometimes not at all for a while. There is no pain or any other sensation at any time. Urination and ejaculation have been felt the same as always. The tingling feels very external. For the last 6 months or so, my urine has smelled stronger than usual.
I am concerned of a bacterial infection. Any thoughts?
