What Causes A White Scab On The Calf?

I I had a skin folicle on my calf that turned into a very bad leg infectionMSSA and was treated with dApto myosin by infusionsthe the infection that turned into cellulitis wAs healed very nicely however this site where it all started formed a dark normal scab the doctor wanted to see what was under the scaB so he thought this scab was ready to come off and tugged at it with tweezers he found out it wasn t ready so he left it however he told me to put it Neosporin on it shortly after it turned a light pink surrounding the scab then that scab fell off and White scab formed I have been using Neosporin and a bandaid daily so that doesn t turn into what I had I ve used markers and it is still pink should I keep using neosporin and why does a white scab form
