What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Nausea Along With Elevated AST And ALT Levels?

My son is 22 and was diagnosed with mon for the 3rd time on Wednesday. His symptoms started on Sunday with fever between 101 and 102 along with extreme fatigue. When it had it 6 yrs ago, he had to have a blood transfusion. Last night, his stomach was hurting and tonight he has severe nausea and feels like he needs to throw up. His AST was 92 and ALT was 82. Is it possible that his liver enzymes are more elevated if he is starting to experience those symptoms
