What Causes Abdominal Pain Above The Navel?

I have deep, abdominal pain in the center and just above my navel occurring a few hours after I eat steak. I can eat other meats as well as other beef without this problem. The pain may come on and last several days gradually getting better. There is also a warm feeling in this area during this time, like inflammation or something. I also sometimes get some nausea with the pain, when it is at it s worst. I do not have a gall bladder. I have regular, normal bowel movements.
