What Causes Abdominal Pain And Swelling Post Strenuous Exercise?

My daughter is 15, very active and when she is running and drinking during practice she starts to get a pain in her diaphragm and swelling. Tonight after practice she came home and it still hurts. Is this something that we should take her to the ER for or call her doctor? What can cause this? Thanks
