What Causes Abdominal Swelling And Flatulence After Hernia Surgery?

Hello , I am a 58 yr old male, I had Open hernia surgery this morning , I am very swollen,, I m havein problem s Exspelling Gas and I have been home since 12:30, its now 7:30, and I have only urinated twice, slow and not very much, the swelling is now spreading over bladder, I can feel insides rumbling and gas moving , but it doesn t come out, Also, last nite. Nite before surgery I had to drink the drink you normally drink when you under go a colonocscopy, it has been 26 hrs since I started drinking it , and I m still having the squirts, I hurt so bad and trying everything possible to relive my discomfort, since I can feel Gas or runny poop, I have tried manipulation of the annus by finger insertion, and nasty liquid is all that comes out its the only way to get stuff out, I can not keep this up, Is any of these things common after havein this surgery? I m payin here on my left side , stomach is rumbling like crazy , but nothing is comein out. Like it feels like it should, hernia repair was on left side, Thank you for hopefully give some advice to a imbarasing question.
