What Causes Abnormal Endometrial Thickening?

Hello I had an attempted endometrial biospy that was not able to be done due to my the lining being to thick. I was told we would just wait 3 months and have another ultrasound to check and see if the lining had gotten worse. She said the lining was very abnormal at my age 41. Should I wait or seek a second opinon?
