What Causes Abnormal Mitochondria In Muscle Tissue?

I,m 58 year old male , found out I had celiac disease about a year age, now having major muscles aches with high ck levels had a muscle biopsy for possible myositis they found nothing but now want me to see a neurologist they did find an abnormal mitochondria in my muscle tissue what is this all about ?
