What Causes Abortion After Stopping Metformin Consumption?

Hi doctor,i am 27 old married women.our marrige was in 2008 june.i have pcod,it diagoses in last sep.till i take metformin 500 daily 2times.last dec i concevie with clomid tab(that is my first clomin course in that dec).then i stoped metformin tab with my doctor's advice.unfortunatily after jan 29 abort my baby naturly.my doctor told me it is du to too much less growth of featus.now i am taking metformin tab again.doctor pls reply my few queries

1.is any chance for me to conceve again

2.my treatment is correct ?

3.i stopped metformin during my pregnancy is the couse of my abortion?

4.when we try again?then clomid is neccessory?

5.how long i take met formin?

6.pcod or its teatment medicine like metformin or clomid will badly effect the newborn baby's health;it will couse any disablity in new born baby
