What Causes Absence Of Periods While On Levlen Ed?

i am taking levlen ed and am on my 5th white pill and still have no period, i have just taken a pregnancy test which came back as negative! i have had recent surgery on my kidney and just last week had a cystoscopy to remove the stent, they used a numbing gel. is it normal to not get my period at all while on this pill?
