What Causes Abusive Behaviour After Taking Effexor Along With Beer?

hi iam a 37 year old male being treated with effexor and after a few beers i would go to bed and the next morning i feel fine but my wife is in tears as i wake up in the middle of the night and verbally abuse her taking her down to the lowest. i have no memory of the incident and usally i tell her things that i wouldnt tell a soul. is this a direct cause of the beer
