Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband had a lobectomy on January 9th for a sequestration. This week he went to his primary Dr and was told he had a ton of fluid. You can even see a bulge. He had a ct scan very early Tuesday morning and we have not heard anything from anyone. We can't get ahold of his cardiologist because he is always in surgery and nurse keeps saying he will call, well he hasn't even looked at the results (that the nurse can tell). Since Monday he has had extreme pressure and has to take percoset to sleep. He can't sleep laying down and has to use 3 pillows propping him up on the couch to sleep. Since we cannot get ahold of anyone how do we know if this is an emergency and he needs to have it drained? He can barely cough but he doesn't have any breathing issues. Please help
