What Causes An Endometriosis Cyst?

I had a endtromosis cyst on 5 April. Doctor gave to a shot of lupride injection and told that I will not get my periods but I got on 23 april. I would like to know is there any problem? I am afraid I dont need to go again for surgery and I am loosing my weight as well.plz help
