What Causes An Itchy Abscess On Buttocks And In Pubic Hair?

I am on my period and yesterday I had to walk around for a long period of time in soiled underwear because i couldn't change. Now I have a large itchy abscess on my butt and a smaller one in my pubic hair. Could this be just a reaction to the soiled underwear?
