What Causes Ankle Swelling?

what will cause your ankles on both feet to swell up and look like you have like a leathery red rash I guess on them in a swollen all went to my calves and it s excruciating to walk no injuries no bites it s just they hurt pretty bad all day and then all the sudden now I can t walk
