What Causes Appearance Of Red Spots On Stomach?

I have a red spot on the top of my stomach. It is flat, red and appears to have 3 tiny really red spots within the main red spot. It is about the size of a pencil eraser and has been there for 2plus months. I tried an ointment on it my doctor gave me but it didn t touch it. Do you have any ideas what it could be?
