What Causes Arm Numbness With History Of Carotid Artery Surgery?

I am a 66 year old male. Today my left arm started going numb for a few minutes at a time. It has done this throughout today. I do have diabetes and I do have a stint in my heart. I have also had carroited artory surgery on my right side of my neck.
