What Causes Bad Body Odor From A Hemodialysis Patient?

one night my friend who is a hemodialysis patient got up out of my bed to go home and I didn,t notice it right away but he left the strangest odor behind and I could not tell when it happened. he had told me earlier he did not feel to good .what is the cause of this sudden terrible smell?
