What Causes Bad Odour To The Palms?

Before I ask my question I would like to make I clear that I am not bulimic or anorexic. Sometimes my hands will smell like vomit, and no matter how many times I wash my hands the smell does no go away. Lotion doesn't help either. What could I do to help prevent or get rid of this, when It occurs?
