What Causes Baldness In The Child?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I have a 8 year old daughter who has a bald spot that started the size of a penny. Within the last 2 weeks it has gone to about 2 inches long. and she is using the steriod cream but, not helping. What might this be caused from?
