What Causes Behavioural Change In A Person Post Heart Stroke?

Since my husband had a stroke he is mean and hateful to me [verbally] He treats everyone else with respect. Everyday is a challenge. He has 3 or 4 quiet days then all he wants to do for days after that is argue. He had a stroke on 10-10-14. Before that he had a few times where he acted out. Could he have had mini strokes before his major stroke?
