What Causes Bites Resembling Mosquito Bites On The Elbow?

hello.. my daughter seems to have a bite on her elbow that resembles a mosquito bite.. this is the third one I have noticed.. last weekend she had 2 on the same arm.. I don t think mosquitos are biting this time of year. so I am wondering what in the world could be going on..i put cortisone cream on the two from last week and they went away.She hasn t had any other one show up until today.. what could it be?
