What Causes Bitter Taste And Heavy Breasts Post-abortion?

My friend has been having a bitter test and heavy breast for about two weeks after medical abortion of a 8weeks pregnancy she had heavy bleeding that lasted for 2 days and became lighter there after until it stopped, what is causing this and does it mean she is still pregnant?
