What Causes Bitter Taste In Throat,anxiety And Palpitations After Taking Predisolone?

I am using Prednisolone Acetate eye drops for Iritis and Corneal Edema. When I use it, I get a metallic taste in my throat. I am experiencing a lot of agitation, anxiety and palpitations. I have anxiety to begin with, but it seems a whole lot worse since I have started the drops. Can these drops have a systemic effect that can cause these side effects? I am using it 4x daily along with a Saline eye drops. I would really appreciate a response. Thank you
