What Causes Black Color Vaginal Bleeding?

Hi, I was on a 5 day course of Flucloxicillin 500mg last week. They finished on friday and I have been getting vaginal bleeding but it is almost black. Is this a common side effect? I have been prescribed a further course of fluclox beginning today as the infection in my right great toe has not cleared up.
