What Causes Black Out After Drinking When Treating Bell's Palsy?

I have had Bell's palsy. I was recently on vacation and we were drinking alcohol and I passed out. When I woke the right temple and my jaw and face was quite sore. Similar to my Bell's palsy although I had no paralysis. Could the Bell's palsy and alcohol caused me to black out.
