What Causes Black Strands In Mucus?

I have been seeing strands of black in my throat mucus several times a weeki. The throat mucus has been clear and ever present for close to two years now. Gone to several ENTs and gastro doctors-antiacids don't help. Would like know if there is a reason to be concerned about the strands of black in the clear throat mucus
