What Causes Bleeding After Having Sex?

I have recently started taking the microgynon pill about 2 months ago, i have taken both packets back to back without giving my body a break, and today when i went to have sex i started bleeding a bit (i was still taking my pill and my normal period was due around this time) the bleeding stopped soon after but i'm wondering why this happened?
