What Causes Bleeding After Tampon Implantation?

my daughter was delivered via emergency c-section mid jan. due to placental abruption. we are both fine and well. i am now having my second period and it is very heavy. normally, my periods last 3 days, one day of moderate bleeding. i have been bleeding for 3 days now, yesterday i bled through two tampons, they were completely saturated. is this possibly a complication i will need to address related to the abruption?
